CARMANAH Design and Manufacturing Inc. (CARMANAH),a privately-owned Canadian company located in Vancouver, Canada, designs and manufactures equipment for the forest industry. Located at the present Vancouver site for 85 years, CARMANAH provides equipment for the panels and engineered wood products, pulp and paper, and sawmill industries.
Providing leading edge technology and equipment to optimize fibre utilization for the production of wood-based panels, CARMANAH’s products include SmartDISC Stranders, SmartRING Stranders, Fuji King Debarker and On-Line Panel Testing equipment, for the oriented strand board market.
Equipment for the sawmill, and pulp and paper industry includes disc, drum, veneer and whole-log chippers, chip screens and the rotary Fuji King Debarker.
CARMANAH is a major service center for pulp and paper equipment, and also offers its customers the services of its lab testing facilities in Vancouver, for stranding. Many of CARMANAH’s employees are graduates of local technical institutions such as British Columbia Institute of Technology, and the engineering and forestry faculties of the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University. |
